LAST YEAR there were twenty deaths on Suffolk's roads. Just under a quarter of those killed were motorcyclists.

This week Suffolk Police announced that they want motorcyclists across our county to become better and safer riders by attending a 'Bikesafe' motorcycle course.

In 2010, one-hundred people got involved with the course and PC Kevin Stark from the Roads Policing Unit described it as being 'very successful'.

PC Stark said: "No matter how experienced or careful you are, advanced rider training will improve the way in which you ride and increase your chances of riding safely, thus avoiding a crash or collision."

The Bikesafe workshops will be taking place throughout the year and will cost £55. For further information please email bikesafe@suffolk.pnn.police.uk or visit www.suffolkpolice.uk.

I am interested to know if you think motorcyclists drive safely on our county's roads.

Thats quite a lot of motorcyclists killed, no doubt more than a third were involved. Their decievingly difficult to see in the dark, especially when their travelling fast. Its also very easy to come off one in the English weather.
