    What public services need improving in Newmarket?
    It was recently revealed that some of Newmarket's street lights would be switched off in an effort to save money. How has that affected Newmarket residents? Perhaps there are other public services that are in desperate need of improvement? Public toilets maybe? Car parking is another issue in the town. Does it cost too much and is there enough of it?   • Newmarket Schoolgirl hit by car

    Emergency services were called to treat a five-year-old girl, who was struck by a car on Tuesday.
    A five-year-old girl from Newmarket was struck by a car outside Houldsworth Valley Primary School on Tuesday afternoon. It is believed that the girl suffered suffered pelvic injuries in the incident that happened at around 3.15pm on the Rowley Drive.
