I was going to pop into town to take some pictures of the christmas lights while its quiet.. but they were turned off! At what time to they get turned on/off?

Just as a follow up, i got to see then, still have no idea what time they switch off. However, they were pretty disappointing. Many of the lights were either missing or not on (i.e. broken bulb).

Would have at least expected all the lights to be actually working.
