Tesco Hoping to Build New Store

Supermarket giants Tesco are hoping to build a brand new store in Newmarket.
A meeting is due to take place on Monday evening between councillors to determine whether the plans will be given the go ahead.
Tesco are not looking for a new site, simply hoping to rebuild on their current site on the Fordham Road.
From a personal point of view, I find the current store to be overcrowded and feel very cramped at peak periods.
As long as it is done properly, a new Tesco will be an extremely good thing for the town.

Yes a new store is needed, but I was hoping for a Asda or Morrison's as this Tesco's here is the most unfriendly Tesco's I have ever been in. And because they don't really have any competition it makes them very complacent. I don't consider Waitrose competition as it way outprices Tesco.

ReportFollowing on from this story, Tesco have also revealed that a new store will create 200 new jobs.
Surely that has to be a good thing for the town? What do you think?
