The two vacant seats on the Newmarket Town Council will be filled later

this month when elections are held on Thursday 23rd September 2010.

The wards of St Mary's and Studlands Park have been unoccupied since

July following the decisions of Jane Bailey and Bob Cole to quit the

authority.

Four candidates are set to campaign for the right to hold the St Mary's seat. They are:

Jacko Fanshawe

Andrew Appleby

Janet Clarke

Sean Perry

In Studlands Park three candidates will be battling it out for control. They are:

Larry Kirwin

Hilda Halliwell

Michael Anderson

Polling stations will be set up in both of these wards for those willing to vote, all which must be casted by 5:00pm.

Are you someone that will be taking the time to vote? How will the results effect you? Let us know your thoughts below.
