Steps Confirmed for Newmarket Nights

One of the biggest pop bands to have come out of the 1990's, Steps, have been confirmed as the first live act for next year's 'Newmarket Nights'.

Lisa Scott-Lee will be performing as part of Steps at Newmarket Nights next year.

The five-piece group will be performing on Saturday, August 25th 2012.

Steps have sold 20 million records worldwide and achieved 14 concescutive top five hits at their peak.

After that success, the group decided to go their separate ways on Boxing Day 2001.

However, earlier this year they announced a comeback tour, which has already proved to be popular with their fans. Seven of their UK arena tour dates have sold out.

Their appearance in Newmarket will be a first for the group.

Adrian Simpson, Sales and Marketing Director at Newmarket Racecourses told the organisation's website: "Not only are we delighted to announce the first of our acts for next year but we're excited to bring Steps to East Anglia!

"Their return to the spotlight has activated their large and loyal fan base and we have no doubt that their catalogue of hits will be a real treat for visitors to the July Course."
