A knife amnesty carried out by police in Newmarket has seen more than 30 blades being handed in.
-
More than 30 knives were handed in to Newmarket Police throughout June and July.
A bin was placed outside Newmarket Police Station throughout June and July as part of a county-wide anti-knife campaign known as 'Bin a Blade.'
The knives deposited included a number of kitchen knives and an illegal hunting knife.
All knives will be safely disposed of by Sackers Recycling in December of this year.

That seems like a really high number, didn't realise so many people had knifes especially in Suffolk. Good thing that people are getting rid of them !
