Newmarket Crash Leaves Man Fighting For Life

A man is currently fighting for his life following a crash between his car and a scaffolding lorry yesterday morning.

Emergency services were called to a serious crash near Newmarket.
The 35-year-old sustained chest and head injuries in the accident, which also left a seven-year-old boy with a suspected broken pelvis and leg.
The crash happened at the Swaffham Heath Road junction on the A1303 between Newmarket and Bottisham.
Cambridgeshire Police, the East of England Ambulance Service, Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue and the East Anglian Air Ambulance all attended the scene.
Both of the casualties were taken to Addenbrooke's hospital in Cambridge, where they are still receiving medical treatment.
The road was closed until late afternoon.
