Former Newmarket College student Lewis Mokler continues to go from strength to strength after he won the BurySOUND final at The Apex on Friday evening.

The singer/songwriter was the last performer to take to the stage, with the other five contestants performing to the crowd before him.

However, Lewis did not allow the nerves to get to him as he performed his own songs 'Bubble-wrapped heart', 'Nutella' and 'Love Recipe'.

A report from Ip1zine.com revealed that the crowd joined in with Lewis's songs, while they also compared him to Ed Sheeran.

His prize for emerging victorious at the event, which has been running 14 years, is two days free recording at The Shrubbery Studios. He was also awarded free CD duplication and £250 to spend at Sound Plus.

Did anybody attend the final on Friday? How did you rate Lewis's performance?
